Fashion Design • Cakery
I had the honor of being selected as one of 17 designers to create a fashion line for a long standing Carnegie Mellon tradition. Lunar Gala, is the largest on campus, student-run event, with at least 1,000 people attending each year. The show is made up of student designers, models, dancers, PR teams, creative teams, productions designers and more.
Cakery, is a ten piece line of clothing I created and co-designed with Chanda Patel. We went from theoretical to an actual fashion line and were responsible for everything from sketching to sewing. Inspired by our love of baking, this line aimed to show the whimsicality and perfection of pastry. In keeping with this we achieved a fun but sophisticated fashion line that reflected the elaborate shapes and decorations of high-end cakes and pastries. In our world “you can have your cake and eat it too.”
